Show Hyrum Notes. Xmas was generally enjoyed and passed of In a quiet way. The usual amusements for the young people wcro the principle features. The Hyrum merchants enjoyed a good trade the week proceeding Xmas, and thu day before Xmas was a record rec-ord breaker. Mrs. George 1 Wright has gone to Salt Lake to spend the holidays. Mr. R. J. Young, son of John W. Young, and wife arc visiting here. They came from Clifton, Arizona. Mr. Young intends taking a special course at the A. C. The Co-op store has been undergoing under-going some big Improvements of late. Work has begun on the Hlack Diamond Dia-mond mine in Hlack Smith Fork Canyon. Can-yon. Joseph C. Anderson, our genial barber, bar-ber, Is hobbling around after a long confinement at home with a fractured leg. Word came from Rishop J. F. Wright that they have located in Los Angeles. Everything is as lovely as midsummer and his wife's health Is Improving dally. Mr. Soren Hansen who has been absent fiom hdmc on business the past week returned Wednesday. A little new blacksmith has begun business in the home of John Hansen, All doing well. The Hyium meeting houses are making slow progress The first ward has a foundation in. The second ward has their building half done. The third ward lias not decided on a building spot yot. The Hyrum Drug Co. has again opened up business with a competent man In charge. They arc increasing their stock and fast becoming an up to date drug store, a thing very much needed In our town. |
