Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ashworth spent the first of the week in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Bernell McAffee have gone to Minersville to live for the present. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Garfield are naw located in their new home: the former Frank Farmer residence. resi-dence. Mrs. Ireta Williams and children, chil-dren, Betty and Elwood, left Monday Mon-day noon for Grand Junction, Cj'.o-rado, Cj'.o-rado, where they will make their future homf. Mr. and Mrs. Evan D. Lyman and two children are visiting relatives rela-tives in Los Angeles. Miss Ruth Pool returned to Mil-ford Mil-ford Sunday . after several weeks visit in Salt Lake City and Bingham Bing-ham canyon. ' Mrs. J. J. Keough and daughter Madeleine left Wednesday for the coast where they will stay for a few weeks. Miss Evelyn Hickman left Wednesday Wed-nesday for Salt Lake City, where she will visit relatives and friends for two weeks. Mrs. C. H. Gates and son of Salina returned to the'.r home Monday Mon-day after a few oKvs visit at the W. 0. Carlson home. Miss Geniel Hansen, a niece of Mrs. Rudolph Nielsen, returned to her home in Salt Lake City after spending several days at the Nielsen Niel-sen home. Mass Patra Young, who has been taking a beauty course in Los Angeles, returned to MUford Thursday morning, after completing complet-ing her work. Miss Mabel Christensen of Salt Lake City, visited at the home of her sister, Mrs. Rudolph Nielsen, over Saturday and Sunday on her return from California. Miss Madeleine Keough returned home Sunday from an extended visit in California and Washington, Washing-ton, having attended the Shriners convention at Seattle with an uncle and family. Mrs. Wilson Moore left this (Thursday) morning for Long Beach, California, where she will join her children, Margaret and Douglas, who have been visiting there for several days. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Firmage and chfldren, joined by the former's I parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Firmage Fir-mage of Beaver, spent the week- end in Salt Lake City. While there I they made an inspection of the pa-latial pa-latial new home of J. L. Firmage, Roy's uncle, which has just been completed at a cost of more than $65,000. i Members of the Athletic club were entertained Wednesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. La-Mar La-Mar Outzen. Gertrude, Dewey of , . Caliente, Nevada, spent a couple of days last week visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baxter. Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr. returned home Sunday from Salt Lake City, where she was called on account of the illness of her mother. Mrs. Tex Young left last Saturday Satur-day for Tacoma, Washington, called call-ed there by the illness of her daughter, Mrs. L. Conder, (nee Margie Young. Mr. and Mrs. Mont Levoux and children are here from California, visiting at the home of Mr. Le-voux's Le-voux's grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Murdock sr. Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Wynaught attended the monthly meeting of the Associated. Civic Clubs of Southern Utah, held last Saturday and Sunday at Ephraim. Miss Helen Kinney, who has been attending school in Logan the past winter and is now doing work at the U. S. A. C. library at that place, is visiting in Milford for a few days. Mrs. L. G. Clay and children returned re-turned home Tuesday from Fillmore Fill-more where they have been visiting the past few weeks. They were accompanied by Mrs. Clay's brother bro-ther and wife, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Carline-. of Huntinerton Park. Cali fornia, who are on their return home after visiting in Utah for several days. Mrs. William Cochrane entertained enter-tained the Saturday afternoon bridge club and guests at her home Saturday. Those present were Mesdames Rudolph Nielsen, M H. Pool, George Fernley, W. C. Cates, W. H. Hendrickson, W. 0. Carlson, C. H. Gates and Misses Mabel Christensen and Geniel Hansen. Mrs. Fernley received the club prize for high points, Mrs. Cates the club high honors prize and Mrs. Pool the consolation prize. Guests high point prie was won by Mrs Gates. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Epstein left Friday of last week for their home in Los Angeles following a two weeks visit in Utah as the guests of Attorney Harold Cline, law school college friend, and Mrs. Cline. Cautioned by friends against midsummer visits to southern Utah on account of the heat, they came anyway and an amusing sidelight side-light is cast on the incident by the fact that they returned to L. A. to find their friends sweltering in 97 degree weather which is plenty hot for anyone on the coast. Mr. and Mrs. David S. Williams and son Bud motored to Logan last Saturday and were there joined by Miss Lois Williams in a trip into Wyoming and Idaho, where brief visits were made with relatives and friends. The return trip home was made Monday from near Twin Falls, Idaho and by way of Wells and Ely, Nevada. Miss Williams had just completed a six weeks course of summer school at the U. S. A. C. at Logan. She was accompanied home by Miss Helen Stoner of Cokeville, Wyoming, who will visit in Mlford for three or four weeks. Neighbors and friends of Mrs. Ireta Williams pleasantly surprised surpris-ed her with a handkerchief shower last Thursday afternoon at her home. Mrs. Williams and children are leaving for Grand Junction. Colorado, to make their home. Contest Con-test games were p'ft.ed and prizes awarded.
