How Warner Oland tracks down the killer through a fascinating maze of clues at the risk of his own life is revealed in the Fox thriller, "Charlie Chan at the Circus," which will be shown at the Firmage theatre Friday and Saturday. With the circus as the ' scene of the crime, Chan finds himself him-self involved with a mass of clues. The dead owner, not having- been on friendly terms with his performers, perfor-mers, leaves all of the troupe open to suspicion, including' even the . savage gorilla who was missing : from his case at the time of the ! crime. When a poisonous cobra finds its way to Chan's room and almost puts an end to the wily de- tective's career, he becomes con- vinced that the murderer is one of the troupe. An emotional revelation revela-tion of a girl's tragic experiences Miss Sidney's historical talents are given full reign in a characterization characteriza-tion that justifies her ability for full dramatic power.
