Show o From 1927 to 1934 the number of passenger cars registered regis-tered increased seven and one-half percent, while the number of such involved in fatal accidents increased 55 percent. By contrast, during the same period the number of trucks in use increased 11 percent, while the number involved in fatal accidents ac-cidents reached only 5 percent. The reason given is that the truck drivers are more experienced drivers and in addition are not their own bosses. They drive according to instructions instruc-tions or are dismissed. The thought suggests a possible remedy for at least part of the appalling death toll due to car accidents. ; . , |
