Show BYU announces '65 cage slate Brigham Young University's 1964-65 basketball schedule, which includes a berth in the All-College Tournament at Oklahoma Ok-lahoma City, was announced Wednesday by University officials. of-ficials. Exactly half of the 26 games scheduled by the Cougars for1 next season will be played in the George Albert Smith Field-house Field-house in Provo, according to head basketball coach Stan Watts. Teams the Cougars will host in Provo during the 1964-65 campaign are Oregon, Santa Clara, Seattle, Utah State, Ohio State and Marquette, plus member teams of the Western Athletic Conference. BYU will open the season in a two-game series with Oregon, Ore-gon, Dec. 4-5. Santa Clara will play two games in Provo, Dec. 18-19, and the Buckeyes will play single game on the floor in Provo, Dec. 22. During the tournament period per-iod between Christmas and New Years, BLU will participate partici-pate in the All-College basketball basket-ball tournament in Oklahoma City. Other participating teams in the All-College tourney have not been announced for the Dec. 28-29-30 tournament. Besides the usual road games against WAC opponents, oppon-ents, BYU will meet Wichita, Utah State, the Air Force Academy and Denver in games away from home. Last season the Cougars finished the year with a 13-12 record. Only one senior from the '64 squad, Bill Blumenthal, is not returning. The nutritional needs of older old-er persons are much like those of any other age group. |
