Show At council meet Bid let for water utility building Springville City Councilmen at their regular Monday meeting, meet-ing, accepted the bid of R. L. Wilson and Sons for the construction con-struction of a water utility building for $18,747.00. Two other bids, one by Eugene Pal-freyman Pal-freyman for $19,686.00 and Ralph Child i for $23,385.00 were also considered. The building will be constructed at the present compound site, fourth south and 10th east. Bids were opened for the construction of a substation to be located in the northwest corner of the city cemetery. Tabulation showed General Electric . Supply, $13,585.00, Westinghouse Electric, $16,192. 00. The bids will be studied and further considered before be-fore awarding is made. Road bids out Councilman Taylor Reynolds proposed that the city call for bids for road repair throughout the city as part of the B and C roads program. It was approved ap-proved and bids will be opened at the next regular meeting, June 15. Attorney Sumsion presented a resolution to be adopted authorizing au-thorizing the publication of the Improvement District No. 11 notice. Appreciation will be extended extend-ed to the BYTJ group who helped help-ed clean up Kelly's Grove. Willard Smith of the auditing audit-ing firm went over the proposed pro-posed budget for the next fiscal fis-cal year with the council. The hearing for the- proposed tentative ten-tative budget will be held June 15 at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Mem-orial Hall. |
