Show George Bonsper dies suddenly; services Friday Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the First-Twelfth Ward Church for George Bradford Bonsper. 70, prominent civic leader and former manager of American Cyanamid Plant, who died suddenly sud-denly at his home of a heart attack. George Bird of the Twelfth Ward Bishopric will conduct the services. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary Mor-tuary tonight from 7 to "J p.m. and Friday prior to the services. serv-ices. Burial will be at Ports-ville, Ports-ville, New York. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the heart fund. Mr. Bonsper was born April 11, 1893, at Jersey City, New York, the son of Philhp and Ruby Bonsper. He married Sue Dunmire on Nov. 9, 1914, at Blairsville, Pa. He began his career in the explosives field in 1911, working work-ing for the E. L du Pont'de Nemours Co. at Lakhurst, N. J. In the years that followed, he held various supervisory positions po-sitions with Hercules Powder Co., Aetna Explosives Co., the Peerless Union Co., Liberty Powder Co., the DuPont Co., Illinois Powder Co., and American Amer-ican Cyanamid. Though his career was devoted de-voted chiefly to commercial dynamites, he also did considerable consid-erable work with military explosives ex-plosives and black blasting powders. Mr. Bonsper was a member of the t.'tah Manufacturers Association. As-sociation. H? came to Utah in November 1940, as manager of the Spanish Fork plant. He retired re-tired from that position in 1959. Mr. Bonsper was active in Commerce, and was chairman of severai fund-raising drives in Springville and Utah County. Coun-ty. He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church. He had also been active in the Senior Citizens group in Springville. Surviving is his widow of Springville, one son, Edward (Barney) Bonsper of Ports-ville, Ports-ville, New York; two grandchildren; grand-children; and one brother, Harold Har-old Eonsper of Jersey City, New Jersey. |
