A letter from M. O. In his letter ho speaks of the work there, but to tho effect that there had as yet been little opportunity opportun-ity for effective work. Tho many friends and relatives of Elder Bell will be pleased to know that he was alive and well on the 20th of December, as it was currently reported that he with other missionaries had perished at a prior date. While there friend Qull with other Logan men raised his volco In no mistaken langqago as to tho maintenance of the A. C. Under tho coustltutlon of the state the A. If this is tho caso, the taxes of tho people should not be used In making any change whatever, for It means an outlay. Bo guided by tho old maxim "leavo well enough alone." Wo trust that tho Legislature Legisla-ture will take a common sense view of this matter and promptly vote down any measure that may bo Introduced to Increase the taxation of the people merely to satisfy tho whhnes of a few Individuals who aro but very small tax payers In tho state. |
