Friday was a red-letter day with the Smlthfleld district schools. The children under the tutelage of their teachers, crowded Into bob sleighs provided by the wholesouled citizens and took a slclghrldo not very easily forgotton by those enjoying the same. A party numbering about sixty assembled as-sembled to do Justice to a repast at the home of our respected citizen, Chris Peterson, In honor of their silver wedding wed-ding which was commemorated In good ancient style, us far as making a feast and tempting viands was concerned. con-cerned. After partaking of, and satisfying the Inner man, an enjoyable evening was spent in games and amusements which was relished by all, and with good wishes for the the bride's host and hostess, all departed wishing such was the happy lot of many more of Utah's good citizens. |
