Show Excursion to Agricultural College. A Farmer's Excursion to the Agricultural Agri-cultural College will take placo next Saturday, February 2lst, 1003. The new barns and the recently purchased pure bred live-stock will bo inspected and the experiments in progress with sheep, steers, dairy cows and poultry will be explained. The dairy, greenhouse, green-house, shops, laboratories, museums and other practical departments of the Collego will be visited. The visitors will assemble in the small chapel of the Collego at 11 o'clock a. m., where the following addresses ad-dresses will be made: Address of Welcome Pres. Kerr Feeding Value of Sugar Beets, Sugar Beet Pulp and Molasses Director J. A. Wldtsoe Horse Feeding Prof. L. A. Merrill Protltablo Poultry Keeping Prof. James Dryden Judging a Dairy Cow Prof. R. W. Clark Theso addresses will occupy two hours, but since the exerclseswlll continue con-tinue throughout tho day, It Is suggested sug-gested that visitors bring their lunches and a comfortable lunch room will bo provided. During tho afternoon a practical lesson in stcck-Judglng will be given. All persons Interested In Agriculture, especially those engaged in stock raising, rais-ing, are urged to be present. |
