Show , Milford should awake to the fact that she is the center of a real, bona-fide, live mining district. In territory that can be conservatively claimed as within her influence, there are thirty to forty active producing pro-ducing mines, not wild-cat propositions, but properties with actual showings and regular shipments. Lead, copper, zinc, silver, gold in paying quantities. These mines are mentioned in the big mining papers of the west and their activities are eagerly followed by the daily papers of the big cities of Utah and surrounding Stales. Investors frequently "steer clear" of mining stocks because unscrupulous promoters have "stung" them in the past. In the mining territory adjacent to Milford, no investor need be "stung." We have the goods to show and we are delighted to "ehow the goods." A mining district naturally calls for certain other industries repair shops for mining machinery, a depot of mining machinery, accessories, etc. Milford would be an excellent place for the establishment of such an enterprise. The NEWS has carefully investigated the mining possibilities of this section and stands ready to help exploit this great and growing industry, which has meant so much to Milford and which is bound to mean much more to her, in the near future. |
