Show Man Stole a Locomotive. "By George ! I am going to thai dance at Paxton's somehow," an uni dentified young man declared here the other night when informed there woulc would be no trains going east for som time, according to the Bozemar (Mont.) correspondent of the Spokan (Wash.) Spokesman-Review. H( walked over to a lone locomotive, entered en-tered the cab and started east, break ing through a closed switch and golnj out on the main line. Engineer McVicker, in a locomotive was traveling toward this city when ftt noticed that the block system regis tered danger. He saw the smoke ol an engine approaching and stopped his own. His fireman jumped and McVicker Mc-Vicker reversed his engine. Firemar Boehling caught the approaching engine, en-gine, climbed into the cab, found li "driverless" and brought it to a stop 8 short distance from McVicker's en gine. No trace of the locomotive thief ha been found. He evidently jumped whet he saw the other engine approaching. |
