PLEASANT EALLEQJI DEATH Mrs. l.arseiKi -Mario Julian son, A pioneer woman of this community, died at the family houus Friday evening after a two weeks illness from a hoart affection. lveasd w as horn in Vnlstcd, .alborg, Denmark, September lS4ti. After embracing the Mormon faith in her native laiul, she emigrated to America i:ul crossed the plains in 1SGS with Captain Hans Jensen's ivinranv, coming to Mt. She was married to 1'eter Johallscn in the Endowment House in Salt Like January IS W'., and to theui were horn m children, of whom the following .survive; Joseph 1. Johan.Mii, and J. Christian Johauscu both of Mt. Flt-asaut, Mrs. Ella llarri-ou of Salt Lake and Andrew Johan Son of Huntington.. Funeral services, largely at UC-ied, Were held in the South ward chapel Monday afternoon. after-noon. Bishop A. H. Mcintosh conducted the .-ervioes and lull sic was furnished by the ward choir with MUs Christie Clark anJ Miss Ethel Lund as solo iits. The speakers were Jo Soph Secly, Jan..-s V. Ander son and Bishop Mcintosh. Prayers were offered by M. C Petersen and Henry liaah-r. The pallbearers were L. C. Easmusstu, T. G. Harrison of Salt Lake, Charles Jacobsen, Qiriitian J. Kasmussen, Neils P.asmussen of I'rovo and Hymn Hy-mn Madsen. The grave was dedicated by Mads Ander.-en. The floral offerings were beautiful and profuse and many out of town relatives and friends attended the services, among them Mr. and Mrs. Thomas G. Harrison of Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Neils Jacobsen and Mr. and Mrs. Christian Jacobsen of I'rovo. |
