Show I f 1 '.1 ' Walt Talbot 80th Birthday For Talbot Former Panguitch resident Walter DeVaurTalbot"will celebrate cel-ebrate his 80th birthday and will be honored at an open house Saturday, Apr. 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. at 7200 S 300 E in Midvale, (take the 7200 S exit, go East on 7200 South to 300 East turn right to LDS church). He was born April 27, 1923 in Panguitch to John Taylor and Celeste Talbot. He is married mar-ried to the former Dorleen Williams. Walt served in the Marines during World War II. He graduated grad-uated from Utah State University and has worked in education his entire life, starting start-ing as a coach in Tropic and going on to be Superintendent of Garfield County School District, Assistant Superintendent of Murray School District, Superintendent of Box Elder School District and Assistant and State Superintendent of Utah. He and his wife have served three missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was in the temple Presidency of the Provo Temple and is currently serving as a stake Patriarch in Spanish Fork. They have two children: Bruce (Teresa) of Midvale and Jilyn of Spanish Fork. They also raised two nephews, Stan Miller (Kathy) of Nibley and Dave Miller (Linda) of Newport Oregon and one niece Kathy Christensen (Dave) of Brigham City. They also currently have two granddaughters grand-daughters Breanne ' and Jade living with them. Their home has been open to many nieces, nephews, exchange students and others over the years.
