AOTO RUNS ON BOTTOM OF SEA One of the most curious vessels ever devised is being constructed for Simon Lake, American submarine engineer and Inventor. It is a submarine motor car. in which he proposes 10 take a holiday under the sea in the West Indies. The motor car will run on wheels at the botton of the sea. and will be connected by a great tube with a sur fiire vessel a sort of house boat which will move In unison. The tube will be in adjustable sections and will be capable of extension to 150 feet. The dimensions of the under water motor car will be 25 feet by 9 feet. Glass panels one and one-half inches thick will enable travelers to survej the ocean's floor by means of a powerful power-ful light equipment. One of the most ingenious portions of the apparatus is an air lock system sys-tem which enables a door 10 be opi n d so that a traveler equipped with diving div-ing dress, of course can step on to ihe sea botton and stroll alongside the "car."
