I RED CROSS EVENT Prominent among the many pleasant and successful Red Cross entertain-1 inents of the past week was the niusi cale at the home of Mrs. Frank A. Dodge, 2H68 Grant avenue. Tuesday afternoon, Mr. Dodge and Mrs. Henry C. King as hostesses. The rooms were very pretty, with their Red Cross dee-orations, dee-orations, choice cut flowers, of appro-1 priate colors, and Old Glory wu greatly great-ly in evidence, funning by far the Most beautiful of all decorations. J Thomas was hostess to the ladies of the Klltat club at her home on Barlow avenue last Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon The rooms were prettily pret-tily decorated for the pleasure of the guests and the dining lable was especially espe-cially attractive in the form of a Japanese Jap-anese tea garden The place cards and favors were miniature dolls dressed as Japanese ladies. Tempting refreshments refresh-ments were served Guests of the elub for the afternoon were Mrs. E, A. Wilcox and Miss Dozz Burbridge of Salt Lake city Mrs Carl F. Watson will entertain the club on March 28. ST. PATRICK'S TEA The following committee of ladies the twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. George Thiel. Mr--. Kirkendall was present, repre sentlng the Red Cross society, and gave an Interesting talk on its aims and mission. While all present were ' j -f 'MRSr"F0K?NG greatly interested in ihe work of the 'soeiet. the two ladles to whom its appeal came the closest, Mrs. Owens and Mrs. Guthrie, whose sons have returned from the Mexican border bor-der Eighteen names were added to the rapidly increasing membership of the wonderful organization, and other names are anticipated by the hostesses for the afternoon Dainty refreshments refresh-ments were served, the coior scheme being carried out In these and in the tinV souvenirs presented each guest. Mills last Thursday afternoon, at her home on Madison avenue. Mrs J. A.
