Show :;: What's Doing In Kiwanis : The vocational guidance committee, com-mittee, with Chairman F. C. Packard to act as toastmaster, will have charge of the Kiwanis club meeting tonight. Dr. Thomas L .Martin of the B. Y. U., Provo, gave the principal prin-cipal talk at the meeting last Thursday night, telling of the progress made on an experiment by which vegetables are raised without soil and by the use of chemicals and water. He told the group the work was only in the experimental state and was carried on mo3tly as a hobby but that some excellent excel-lent vegetables, including tomatoes toma-toes and potatoes nave been raised. President M. W. Bird als reported re-ported on a proposed- project by which a skiing and skating area in the left-hand fork of Hobble Creek canyon might be developed. develop-ed. He told of contacting recreational recrea-tional directors of the state who had looked the sight over and of their favorable impression of the area. A short discussion was also held on the possibilities of constructing con-structing a municipal skating I area.
