Show A. G, JACKSON PASSES AWAY Arthur G. Jackson, 80, well known L. D. S. church worker of Mapleton, died Wednesday morning at the home of a daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Alice C. Johnson, of ailments incident to his age. He was born July 13, 1852, in Myrthur Tidwell. South Wales, a son of John and Janet Hughes Jackson. He married Mary Ellen Marshall, May 12, 1872, in Darlington, Dar-lington, county of Durham, England. Eng-land. A few years after his marriage mar-riage he joined the church and came to America, later sending for his wife and two small children. chil-dren. During his early life, he was employed as a locomotive engineer engi-neer and at one time was a roller mill operator. He came to Utah in 1896, and has resided at Mapleton Ma-pleton much of the time since. He was a faithful and active member of the L. D. S. church, doing much for missionaries when he lived at Chicago, 111. He was a high priest at the time of his death. He is survived bv a son and daughter, Mrs. Johnson of Mapleton, Ma-pleton, and William H. Jackson of Chicago, III; also nine grandchildren grand-children and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p. m., in the Mapleton Ma-pleton ward under the direction of Bishop Frank Jensen. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery. ceme-tery.
