Show t Wednesday, July 17, 1974 HU I THE PARK CITY Paged RESORT APPOINTS NEW POSITIONS Ken Mompellier has been named Sales Director for Park City Resort, Park City, Utah. In his new position Mompellier will oversee and direct the sales and marketing efforts toward group rental of the Resorts condominiums. Mompellier, born and raised in the San Francisco area, attended San Francisco State College where he he majored in marketing. He has been living and working in Park City since 1968. The first two years here, he managed the New Park Hotel (now The Claimjumper ) . After that he worked for several months in the Resorts ticket building selling night skiing passes before joining the Marketing Relations-Activitie- s Director. In that Department as Community position he worked as a liason between the town and the Resort, as well d activities such as the Town as setting-u- p Championship ski races, golf tournaments and bike races. Last year Mr. Mompellier was named Sales Promotion Manager and while he worked on sales, he still spent a large amount of his time working on special events and activities. In his new position, besides the elimination of his involvement in the Resorts sports-relate- d activities, Mompellier will move from the Marketing Office to the Condominium Check-I- n Building where the condominium personnel are located. Ken will still be part of the Marketing Department, remarked Roger Haran - - Vice President and Director of Marketing, but by being located in the condo building, he will be better able to effect a total sales effort for the company. That total sales effort includes Mr. Mompelliers working very closely with travel agents, ski clubs and groups and the airlines that servi service the Salt Lake airport. Merle Huseth has been named Vice President and Treasurer. Phil Jones, Director of Ski School and Resort Operations, will continue in that position, but will also serve as a Vice President of the Company. Wells is a native of Laurel, Mississippi. He received a degree in Accounting from Mississippi State University. From 1963 to 1971 he was a CPA with Arthur Andersen and Company in New Orleans, specializing in tax consulting. He joined Greater Park City Company in February, 1971, as Vice President and Treasurer. He also serves as vice president of several other companies affiliated with the Roayl Street Corporation, one of the major stockholders of Greater Park City Company. He is a member of the Iastitule of Certified Public Accountants. Huseth is a native of North Dakota, and has resided in California for the past ten years. He is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach. For five years he was a CPA with Kenneth Leventahl & Company, a CPA firm in Los Angeles. He joined Greater Park City Company in October of 1973. Jones is a native of Twin Falls, Idaho. He has worked at the Park City Resort since November, 1964. He served as Director of the Ski School for several years. Last fall he was given additional duties as Director of Resort Operations. In that position, he supervises lift operations, hill maintenance, ski patrol, and summer sports activities, including golf and tennis. Jones was named Ski Instructor of the Year in 1971 by the North American Ski Instructors Congress. In 1972, he was named Ski School Director of the Year by the Intermountain Ski Instructors Association. He has been a member of the U.S. Seventh and Eighth Inter-Sk- i Demonstration Teams.
