We have also attached a questionnaire which we hope will give us more insight as to your feelings a about the Art Festival and what we can do to improve it. The Park City Art Festival was organized with four main goals in mind: To promote business for Park City merchants, As a means by which artists can display their art, To provide a cultural experience for Park City, 4. To help the community. 1. 2. 3. The results of these four areas have been favorable and are as follows. Many businesses in Park City have one of their best days of the year, if not the best. This has been determined by talking to most businessmen. All artists who come to the show consider the two-da- y event a real opto show sell Some and their art. artists have made several portunity hundred dollars during the Festival. As to providing a cultural experience, we can only hope the people of Park City enjoy looking at the art and consider it a worthwhile project. Each year the Art Festival committee has been able to make a small profit over and above our expenses, and this money is tagged for community projects. Our first project has been to put Historical markers on all buildings in Park City so designated by the Utah State Historical Society. This project is almost completed and the plaques will soon be. d installed. Our next project calls for putting equipment at play-groun- City Park. We are also aware of the problems and inconveniences caused by the huge crowds which come to the Art Festival. We have tried to alleviate these problems the best we can by giving advanced notice as to when the Festival will be held. This we hope will give people a chance to conduct business early or postpone it for the weekend. Also, a good portion of our budget goes to traffic control, but even with this, the thousands of people who come to the two-da- y affair still cause a traffic jam. We can only ask that those of you who are not supporters of this event have patience. The Art Festival is becoming known throughout the United States as one of the finest open air art exhibits and is publicized by 6 city'coAurmsMiiinRstOAura K2- -.
