Show Pleasant Grove Locals " Hi. The Second ward choir members enjoyed a social at the Second ward chapel Wednesday evening. Gilbert Stagg is still confined at home with a badly bruised leg caused caus-ed by playing football six weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs. MeMn McDaniel of Salt Lake, were guests Sunday of Mi-, and Mrs. H. C. Robertson. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Carlson of Murtaugh, Idaho, are visiting this week with Mr. and Mrs. James C. Peterson. Mrs. Byron Adamson entertained Wednesday night in honor of her husband's birthday. About twenty guests were present. Mr. and Mrs. Will Stagg motored to Logan last Saturday to visit their daughter Leah, who is attending the U. S. A. C. Mrs. Stella Peay entertained Wednesday Wed-nesday evening at a bridge luncheon. The guests included Ora Thorne, Vera Matthews, Jennie Halliday, La-Rue La-Rue Smith, Winnie Adamson and Cummorah Cullimore. Last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. . Will Stagg entertained at dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bennett, Beth, Marion and Clyde Bennett, Fern, David and Margaret Stagg, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Smith all of Salt Lake. Mrs. Nellie Halliday of Salt Lake, was the guests of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jennie Halliday Wednesday. Wednes-day. She came to Pleasant Grove to help care for her little grandchild who is seriously ill. Miss Mina Giiiies 0f Idaho- Falls ' was a guest at the James D Thorne home Saturday. Mrs. Thelma .Watkins of Rolapp is visiting with her parents, Mr and Mrs. Fred C. Shoell. The Genealogical committee of the Second ward will be guests of the First ward Genealogical committee next Monday evening. The Domestic Science department of the high school has been selling lunches at noon during the past week. Lewis Olpin, representing Olpin Mortuary Co., made a business trip to Altonah Monday to take care of the body of Heber Carrell, who died there Monday morning. Mrs. Josie Fage Vincent is at the home of her sister, Mrs. Vida Conway, Con-way, with a fine baby girl, born Saturday. Mother and baby are doing nicely. Mrs. Mary J. Cooper spent Saturday Satur-day and Sunday in Ogden visiting with her daughter, LaRene, who is employed in the school for the blind. Mr. and Mrs. Ethan Peay left Friday, November 17th, for Tuba, Arizona. Mr. Peay has accepted the position if assistant dairyman at the government Indian school located at Tuba city. Mi-, and Mrs. Alfred Swenson of Provo, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jens P. Fugal and family. The Genealogical committee of the Second ward are preparing to give a dance and social at the Second Sec-ond ward Wednesday evening, November No-vember 29. This affair is one of the numbers included on the ward ectertainment program. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph D. Fage, Mrs. Mattie Johnson, Mrs. Laura Keetch and Mrs. William Ash attended the funeral services Sunday at Lehi, over the remains of Harry Stewart, a distant relative of the Fage family. - j Mr. and Mrs. Niels Fugal were in Idaho last week to visit with their daughter, Melba Fugal Gootch. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Fugal of Nephi, were week-end visitors with relatives here. Bert Lowder, who has been employed em-ployed the past month in Idaho, returned re-turned home Monday. Deloy and Duanne Thorne sons of Mr. and Mrs. Rondy B. Thorne of Magna, were guests at the James D. Thome home Sunday. John Harris who is employed in Salt Lake spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Harris. The Lindon ward Primary officers and teachers are sponsoring a banquet ban-quet and program in the Lindon Hall Thursday evening. The proceeds pro-ceeds will be used to purchase books i and supplies for their organization. The Second ward will give a dancing danc-ing party Friday night, December 1. All ward members who paid their Iward maintainence are admitted ifree, all others will be charged a small fee. Miss Gennieve Fugal read her play, "Adam and Eve" at American Fork First ward M. I. A. last Tuesday Tues-day evening and at Nephi Thursday evening. .She was highly complimented compli-mented at both places. In Nephi the recognition came in the way of a beautiful bouquet of roses. Mrs. Lavina Fugal returned Saturday Satur-day from a two weeks' trip to Logan where she attended the U. S. A. C. extension service school as a representative repre-sentative from Utah County. She reports a very enjoyable and profitable profit-able trip. Next Tuesday afternoon all of the leaders of the work 'and business .section of the Relief societies of the I Timpanogos stake will meet at the Windsor ward where Mrs. Maroni Cattam of Provo will give suggestions sugges-tions on Christmas gift making. West entertained a group of young people Friday evening eve-ning in honor of her son' Ford. The evening was spent in progressive games, George Nielson received the "Booby" prize. The ladies prize was won by Miss Brown of Lehi. The men's prize was won by Arthur Armitstead. Delicious refreshments-were refreshments-were served. Mr. and Mrs. V. N. West entertained entertain-ed at a family dinner Sunday in honor of their son Ford, who left Monday morning for the training school in Salt Lake, preparatory to a mission in Texas. A. gave a pleasant surprise sur-prise last Thursday evening in honor hon-or of Mrs. Ethan Peay their teacher, who left Friday for Tuba, Arizona, where! Mr. Peay is employed. There were eighteen girls present at the party. Games were enjoyed and delicious refreshments were served. The officers and teachers of the Third ward Sunday School held a preparation meeting Thursday evening eve-ning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Hilton, After the meeting had been held an hour was spent in social chat. Dainty refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Wadley entertained enter-tained at a social Thursday evening.
