Show Hank Files Loan Application An application for a government loan for the Bank of American Pork will bo filed at the San Francisco offlco by Herbert Taylor, examiner in chaxso, who left Suit Lake Wednesday Wed-nesday for California. Assets of from $300,000 to $400,000 oi uie oanK. will be presented as security for a loan by Mr. Taylor and as much money as can be secured secur-ed will be applied for. It is understood under-stood by banking officials that up to fifty percent of the assets will be loaned by the government but the type of assets acceptable was not definitely known and for this reason it is not yet determined the amount of a loan the bank can apply for. I By taking the matter directly to the San Francisco office it was hoped that considerable time could be saved in securing a loan of this nature. No Word From First Security No definate word has been received receiv-ed up to Thursday by officers of the local bank from the First Securities company officials who are at Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, and who had the audit forwarded to them there. Word is now expected daily as to whether they will take over the local concern or not. Depositor's Committee Protest When t.hp netit.ion for lirmidation and passage of bills incurred up to date was presented in the District court Saturday the depositor's committee com-mittee protested the appointment of W. J. Robinson and Delbert Draper as attorneys for the bank. The protest pro-test was filed on the ground that Mr. Draper was already council for the state banking department and that Mr. Robinson was at Washington, D. C. They asked that Ray T. Els-more Els-more be appointed attorney or that no retainer be paid any lawyer and that as the need arose to hire an attorney. The matter was taken under advisement by the judge and it is expected that his decission will be rendered tomorrow on the mat-I mat-I ter. r |
