(Taken from files of Nov. 24, 1923) Ten Years Ago Now The enumeration of the school census of the Alpine District was completed October 31st and has been carefully checked by the district dis-trict superintendent and clerk. There is a decrease of 191 over the census of last year, the heaviest decrease being in American Fork. There are 4,759 boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 18, there being 137 more boys than girls. Ten Years Aso Now Today, A. F. Gaisford Sr. and A. F. Gaisford Jr. take charge of the Citizen and the Review having purchased pur-chased the business, machinery, etc. from L. W. Gaisford, who for the twelve years past has been publisher publish-er and owner. Ten Years Ago Now Joseph B. Forbes this week presented pre-sented to the public library a set of beautiful (books, twelve volumes of "The Library of Home Study Circle". These are the first of a number the Forbes family will present to the library. The marriage will take place next Wednesday in Salt Lake. Ten Years Ago Now Mrs. Deloss Adams received a severely se-verely cut right hand Saturday last when a fruit bottle broke. A bad cut was inflicted almost entirely a-round a-round the thumb. Ten Years Ago Now The marriage of Miss Sadie Wilde of this city, and Raynor Goates of Ogden took place Wednesday in the Salt Lake temple. Ten Years Ago Now Ralph and Ruth Kelly, twin children child-ren of Dr. and Mrs. P. M. Kelly, celebrated cele-brated their 11th birthday's Wednesday Wednes-day with a party. Ten Years Ago Now Wednesday in the Salt Lake temple, tem-ple, Miss Mabel Holland of Shelley, Idaho, and Wayne Shelley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo T. Shelley of this city were married.. |
