Show AXTELL. Lightning phyed havoc with the-telephone the-telephone Jiue here iu Axteli last Saturday. For a quarter of a mile distance poles were splintered, some of them into kindling wood and others shattered so badly that not enough; of the pole was left that could start a fire. Axteli phones were all put out of commission and the company has been put to considerable expense for repairs. No injury is reported from the effects of the electric storm aside from the telephone line, George Roadman, a lad about sixteen six-teen years of age, cauie from Nevada to this place Th urfaday, after an absance of six years to visit his four sisters. The young man was left alone in Nevada , where his father had died a little over a year ago and his coining was a surprise to the relatives. Mrs. Frank Luby of Salt Lake City was here visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mr3. W.W. Conner. Reha NielBon has returned home from Provo, where she has been employed em-ployed for some time. The yonug people of Axteli were out iu full force to an ice cream party Wednesday evening, given at the home of James Jacobson. Mrs. Lehi Olson is visiting friends in Mauti and Ephraim. |
