Show I Bowlers Deads in The third weekend of the Utah State Men's Bowling Tournament produced four more 700 series and 49 more 600 series, Saturday and Sunday Sun-day for a total of 88 over 600 scratch series and seven over 700 series. Bowling action will take place Saturday Satur-day and Sunday at Dinah Bowl in Vernal and Ute Lanes in Ft. Duchesne. Craig Madsen, Salt Lake City, put together games of 233-235-247 for a 715 series and Layne Wilcox, also of Salt Lake City, bowled games of 9Kfl-7"?(U9(Y7 fnr a 711 .Tnhn Rprtnlinn I Salt Lake City, turned in 236-224-247 for a 707 series and Dennis Waters, ! Salt Lake City, produced 269-235-199 ! scores for a 703 series. Bertolina also bowled a 631 series with 240 and 235 i games in the doubles event. Unof- i ficially Bertolina bowled a 636 in the ! team event, which would give him i 1974 for scratch all events. Jerry Pullman of Ogden bowled 654 and 652 I series back to back with games of 1 210-228-216-214-215-223. He came into f the tournament with a 176 average. Kevin Maxwell, Duchesne, leads the handicap all events after three weekends with scores of 564, 600, 642, m, . . , -,- '. ' i 390 for a total of 2196. The winner of this event will be awarded the use of a new jeep for one year. Gary James and Charles Allred, Layton, are third at 1448 and Richard and Harry Miller are fourth at 1447. Randy Miller and Wade Rushton, Vernal, are fifth at 1424. Owen Spencer, Richmond, is the top singles handicap bowler at 762. Spencer bowled a 200-223-243 and 666 scratch over the weekend. Kevin Williams, Sandy, and Mike Hayes, Vernal, are tied for second at 756. Hayes also turned in games of 201-146-220 for a 567 scratch. Paul Trujillo, Vernal, is fourth at 755. Tru-jillo Tru-jillo also had scores of 183-245-215 for a 643 scratch. Dale Butcher and Jerry Pullman, Ogden, are tied for fifth at 753 and Greg Hutchins, Centerville, is seventh at 745. Ladies golfing meet scheduled The Vernal Ladies Golf Association will hold their first meeting of the 1986 season, Tuesday, March 25 at the Dinaland Country Club. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a social hour, dinner at 6:30 p.m. and meeting to follow. 1986 dues will be collected by the coming golf season. There will be a speech on "Ladies Golf has come a ,on8 wav bv Bob Rudd Dinaland Golf professional. AH interested women are invited to attend this organizational meeting.
