Show EGGS MARIE ANTOINETTE Makes 6 servings Easter Greetings - Wednesday, March 19, 1986 VfllTial Expressfldvertisef 1 1 6 hard-cooked eggs Sour cream Salt, to taste 6 fonds d'artichauts (artichoke bottoms) 13 cup butter 13 cup flour 2 cups milk 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded St. Paulin cheese 6 strips bacon, fried crisp and crumbled 2 slices French baguette, cubed Slice top tip from eggs, carefully remove yolks. Place yolks in bowl and mash, stir in sour cream until mixture iscreamy. Season with salt; stuff eggs. Cut thin slice from bottom of each egg so it will stand upright. F'lace artichoke bottoms in shallow casserole, side by side. Place eggs atop artichoke bottoms. In saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour. Gradually add milk. Stir over low heat until sauce thickens. Gradually add cheese. When sauce is smooth, pour over eggs. Sprinkle with bacon and cubed baguette. Bake in preheated 400F. oven for 20 minutes, or until lightly browned and bubbly.
