Show TO RAISE PRICES ON WOOLEN GOODS That the fear of the effect of the low tariff on wool has driven the prices on both wool and woolen goods in the United States far helow what Europcun wool can compete for, and that woolen manufacturers manufac-turers are preparing lo ralso their prices enough to Just barely keep out foreign competition, was the information received from Boston yesterday by Dr. S. W. Mo-Clure, Mo-Clure, secretary of the National Wool-growors' Wool-growors' association. Tho Information also stated that cables from London, where on March 3 one of the five big wool sales held each year will begin, slate that advances In prices of from f to 10 per cent are predicted. This sale is expected to llx the prices on wool for every wool country in the world, as London Is the most inrportant center of tho Industry. |
