Show First Utahn Appointed To Association Dr. Clyde D. Sandgren, vice-president vice-president and general counsel of Brigham Young University, has been elected to the executive board of the National Association Associ-ation of College and University Attorneys. This is the first time anyone from Utah has been elected to a position with the association, which is comprised of lawyers skilled and experienced in legal matters affecting colleges and universities. More than 200 delegates attended at-tended the recent national meeting meet-ing in Chicago, represent -ing approximately 700 members throughout the country. coun-try. Dr. Sandgren will serve for two years on the executive board of this organization of leading public and private institutions of higher education. State Orem, recently completed a U.S. Air Force ReserveOffi-cers ReserveOffi-cers Training Corps field training train-ing encampment at Vandenberg AFB, Calif. During the encampment, cadets receive survival and small arms training and aircraft air-craft and aircrew indoctrination. indoctrina-tion. They also have the opportunity oppor-tunity to observe careers in which they might wish to serve as Air Force officers. The cadet is a student at Brigham Young University. OREM WHIPS PROVO IN BASEBALL ACTION The Orem Semipros beat out the Provo Kings, 10-7 on July 3 at Timp Park. The game was held in conjunction con-junction with the Provo Freedom Festival, and pitted the Orem Beehive league baseball team against the Provo Major Softball Soft-ball league team. Blair Is Assigned To Air Force Duty The son of an Orem resident has been assigned to Peterson Field, Colo., for duty with a unit of the Air Force Communications Communica-tions Service. Air Force Sergeant John W. Blair, son of Mrs. Ruth B. Blair of 754 South 560 East, is a communications center specialist with the 47th Communications Com-munications Group. All artists are invited to exhibit ex-hibit their art work at the American Amer-ican Fork Steel Days Celebration. Celebra-tion. It will be held July 18, 19th and 20th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the basement of the American Fork Stake Tabernacle, Taber-nacle, 1st East and MainStreet.
