Show Estimable Woman Answers Summons A 6hadow of gloom and sorrow was cast over the entire community last Wednesday morning when the announcement was made that Mrs. Marie M. Sorensou, beloved wife of A. E. Sorenson, had been suddenly j summoned by death! While ii was! Itnown that (the estimable woman j had been a sufferer for some time! past, her condition was not regarded ! as serious until Tuesday evening : when . she began sinking rapidly and j at 1 o'clock Wednesday morning she j passed peacefully into the other! world. At the bedside of Mrs. Sor-j enson when the last came were her husband, A. E.. Sorenson. ; her daugh-j ters, .Mrs. W, L. Thomas of Salt Lake; and Mies Elva - Sorensou ; her boys J and her Bister, Mrs. C. 1). Carr of, Salt Lake. , . : For a number of years Mrs. Sorenson Soren-son had been a sufferer from heart trouble, and during the past winter her health had been poorly. Some four weeks ago she was taken worse, and for a considerable time she wa6 confined to- her bed. Complications. Superinduced by -the weakness of the heart, set in and medical aid proved of no avail. Mrs. Marie M. Sorenson was born 'In Gunnison, October 8, 1877, and had she lived until the coming October Octo-ber would have been 44 years of age. She resided in the valley practically prac-tically all her life. In 1894 site was married to .A. E. Sorenson, prominent promi-nent in farming circles, and at present pres-ent a member of the Gunnison city i council. The decdent was a member of the Latter-day Saints church, becoming a member when a mere child. She was active ' In all branches of the church, and more especially (the Relief Re-lief society, and it was her glory to aid and assist the needy and suffering. suffer-ing. ;.'. Besides her husband, A.'E. Sorenson; Soren-son; -she Is -survived by two daughters,. daugh-ters,. -Mrs. .W, 'L. Thomas of Salt -Lake and Elva Sorenson of Gunnison Gunni-son ; four boys, Elton. Kenneth. Therus' and Rellls, and two sisters.; Mrs. C'. B. (Jarr of Salt Lake and Mrs. Alma ;.: Dor'ius of Ephraim. Through, her kindness and loving disposition, dis-position, Mrs. Sorenson made hosts of friends throughout. -the state and all Join in, the sympathy .for the grief-j stricken, husband and children."
