Show A Good Woman Gone to Rest Saturday morning at 835 Mrs Harriet Hales Dunbar closed a life of more than ordinary usefulness after an illness which prostrated her at intervals for nearly three months prior to her death Mrs Dunbar in her capacity of nurse and midwife has been the means of bringing joy and consolation to many a sick room She possessed a remarkably cheerful disposition which coupled with her skill and experience rendered her presence exceedingly desirable among the sick And she has for many years sacrificed her own comfort and even endangered her health in order to minister at the bedside of some sister who needed her kind aid The true cause of her death is not really known but she appears to have suffered from a complication complica-tion of diseases including erysipelas and a type of typhoid fever She suffered much during the last three weeks of her illness and for that period was entirely confined to her bed The deceased was the wife of WmC Dunbar Esq oftheHERALD and the mother of David C Dunbar Esq of the HERALDboth of whom are well known as residents and business men of this city She also leaves four other sons and two daughters all of whom are overcome over-come with grief at this irreparable bereavemeat We mingle our condolence con-dolence with that of her bereaved I relatives and the many friends who will long mourn her loss Funeral services will be held in the Twentieth Ward School House commencing at 1 oclock on Monday April 20d 1883 |
