King George Ill's Justice? Today, March 11,1 witnessed a travesty in federal court in Reno Nev.. I refer to the sentencing sen-tencing of Ruby Valley Rancher Cliff Gardner. I watched the judge as he asked Mr. Gardner if he had any opening remarks or anything new to bring before the court. Mr. Gardner once again pointed out how the USFS had ignored his requests to meet with him and work out a mutually mutu-ally acceptable plan to get Cliff and Bertha's cattle out to pasture on land owned by Nevada but illegally managed by the USFS. The judge then read the sentence sen-tence which was prepared before he came to court. I believe the sentence was concocted con-cocted jointly by the United States Attorney, the USFS and Cliff Gardner's parole officer. The judge was merely the con- duit for these entities to take out their revenge on Cliff Gardner for his audacity to defy them and graze livestock on over grown range which was a fire hazard to his home and ranch buildings. Cliff Gardner is the hero in this case. I believe the federal bureaucrats are the criminals for taking out their frustrations on the Ruby Valley rancher. I further fur-ther believe other criminals in this episode are the Attorney General for Nevada and the Legislative Counsel Bureau for discouraging legislation like AB391 and SB340 which would guarantee Nevada's sovereignty and which would protect our citizens cit-izens like Cliff and Bertha Gardner from King George Ill's federal government.
