Show mopw nuvjs By Vicki Syrett 679-8687 ; Email: viekiscinternet.net Boyd Henderson was the brother-in-law of Mary Etta Chynoweth, the brother of Rhoda Shafer of Henrieville, and Gretha Twitchell of Cannonville. Many from this iarea attended his funeral on Saturday, Mar. 9. Those from Tropic who were at the funeral included Vertis and Lester Clarke, Ethel and La Mar LeFevre, Ethel's brother Allen Clarke, and MaryEtta and Gene Chynoweth. I am sure there were others but these are the only names given to me. We express our condolences to the Boyd's family and friends. He was a long time resident of the area until he retired and moved to Washington, Utah with his wife Maggie who preceded him in death a little over a year ago. Jacki Blais and Jacki's two grandchildren, Wyatt and Kamryn Tucker, came to visit Janet Pollock this past weekend. Jacki is Janet's daughter from Page, Ariz. Janet said she had not seen the great-grandchildren for quite awhile and was surprised sur-prised to see how much they had grown. They are the children of Jennifer and Travis Tucker. The trio then went to St. George to meet with children's parents and return home. Former Tropic resident Louise Ott called Janet Pollock to see how everyone over here was doing and to catch up on the latest news. Louise is serving a Family History (genealogy) mission and still has a year to go before she is finished. She is doing very well and is enjoying keeping busy. Louise is living in Cedar City near her children, Joyce and True and their families. fami-lies. She sends her hellos to everyone. Bryce Valley Mustangs, we are very proud of you! Thanks for being such fine examples to the younger boys and girls of Bryce Valley. You are always winners in our hearts and minds Obit and June Shakespear have had a lot of company the past week or so. Daughters Mavis Strebel and son Tim from Murray were here over the weekend. Since it was time to move cattle, help came in the form of sons and sons-in-law for Obie. Vance Shakespear, a son, came from Cedar City along with Warren Piatt, a son-in-law, from New Castle. L.D. Shakespear, a son, came from, Page, Ariz., to help along with Darwin Nef, a son-in-law from Enoch. Daughter Nelda Nef came with her husband so she could visit with June. Sandra Cox reports that her mother Shirley Haycock has been moved to the Kolob Care Center and that she is improving. improv-ing. She feels more like eating and getting around. Teresa Deccio was up from Las Vegas with her two children to visit with her parents Blaine and Shauna Anderson and to attend the quilt retreat. Sister Holley Lemke and also came with her baby. Sheila Johnson and her children came to spend a few days with parents Rod and Kathern Syrett. |
