Show pqncptch favs Mamie Talbot 676-8084 - A jack rabbit loping down a city street keeping out of the half-inch of snow is the first sight of spring wild animal life, besides a few chickadees and sparrows. The town has appeared rather deserted de-serted and quiet for the past three weeks as many folks have gone to the basketball games or stayed at home to listen to the broadcasts of them. We appreciate those who brought the games to us via radio. Thanks to John Yardley, Brian Foy, Luke Yardley and Ted Chidester. Thanks also to all the individuals and businesses who footed the bill for the broadcasts. Zane Davis and her children and families have gone back to their northern homes after the funeral and burial of son and brother, Joe Bech-thold. Bech-thold. Wendy Roe, daughter of Panguitch Pan-guitch native Doug Roe, is here until un-til she goes to college. She is going go-ing to school and working and living liv-ing with her grandparents, Earl and Eyalyn Roe. (See PANGUITCH on page 3-A) PANGUITCH From Page 2-A Building projects are still going on. The homes of the Phil Singletons Single-tons and the Evan Boshells are progressing. pro-gressing. The Boshell house is being be-ing covered with siding on three sides and brick on the front. Ken and Ren Construction Company is building a house north of the Travis Hatch home on the highway north of town. Don't know who it belongs to. In the Panguitch LDS 2nd Ward, Howard and Mamie Hatch were released as librarians and Hilma Excell was sustained as librarian. li-brarian. Lawrence and Margaret Frandsen were sustained as library assistants. Ben Stephenson was welcomed as a new ward member. He is married to the former Mamie Julander. They own the home formerly for-merly owned by Bill Proctor. Alan (A.J.) Johnson, son of Jim and Cindy Johnson, was ordained a teacher in the Aaroni? Priesthood. The Kevin and Deanna Moore family gave the program in sacrament sacra-ment meeting. All six children gave talks. They sang together and Kevin and Deanna were the concluding conclud-ing speakers. This past week the elementary school has been celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday with costumes, special story tellers and lots of fun. We understand it has been a very enjoyable learning experience. |
