Show Garfield P-TA Waits Annual Founders Day Party Saturday Butter nylons sugar they're they-'re just a few of the choice items to be given as prizes Saturday Sat-urday when the Garfield school P-TA stages its annual Founder's Found-er's Day bridge luncheon and book review at 1 p.m. in the school auditorium. Mrs. John F. Watson will review re-view the book "I Wanted to See," for those who do not play cards, and the prizes including pictures, mirrors and other lovely love-ly gifts in addition to those above, donated by merchants of the southeast district will be distributed at the close of the program. Mrs. L. H. Sratford, president of the association, is in charge of the event, assisted by the school principal, Miss Eva M. Hansen, Mrs. Elwin F. Smith, Mrs. L. C. Peschel, Mrs. Sherman Sher-man R. Couch, Mrs. J. A. Desmond, Des-mond, Mrs. Gordon E. Bridge, Mrs. Lawrence Jensen and Mrs. C. L. West. Decorations will be peach blossoms which are being sent specially from California for the occasion. All twelve past presidents of the association will be special guests at the affair as will the teachers. By Wednesday night more than 200 reservations had been made, and it is expected It will be the outstanding meeting meet-ing and social affair of the year. Music during the luncheon will be provided by Mrs. Lowell Hicks, xylophonist. |
