Show Furniture Plants Boosting Output-Mart Output-Mart Trip Reveals With the job of reconverting their facilities to peacetime production pro-duction 'well underway, furniture furni-ture manufacturers on the Pacific Pa-cific coast are gearing their schedules to many times their pre-war production, Horace A. Sorensen, general manager of the Southeast Furniture Company, Com-pany, reported on his return Monday from a two week's trip-He trip-He noted that the terrific backlog back-log of orders will necessitate maintaining the store quota system sys-tem for some time after full production pro-duction is started, but predicted a gradual easing of the situation before many months. For one thing, he said, there will be complete com-plete nev: lines, of summer and. outdoor furniture on the market soon featuring extensive use of metals, plastics and new plastic-impregnated fabrics. Mr. and Mrs. Sorensen maae the trip by car, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Sadlier Jr.. and in addition to attending the furniture marts in both Los An-geles An-geles and San Francisco, they visited several factories and took a trip clown into Mexico. By way of pleasure they attended the horse races at Santa Anita, tried their hands at deep sea fishing, and attended several plays and amusement centers besides visiting with friends.
