Open Enrollment applications applica-tions will be accepted from December 1, 2007 through February 15, 2008 for the 2008-2009 school year. Our first spotlight is on Kate Baxter. She loves to draw, and started drawing draw-ing at a pretty young age. She began drawing because be-cause it was a way that she could express how she was feeling and express her thoughts. Kate was inspired by fun and playful fun characters like Disney princesses and other things that she liked, she usually only draws when she feels inspired or has an idea that she's excited ex-cited about. Kate has won ten dollars dol-lars for a poster she free handed last year supporting support-ing the veterans, she took third place. Kate says she doesn't really like competitions compe-titions though; as a result she doesn't participate in many. Besides drawing, Kate enjoys writing and making up stories. She says, "I've always been obsessed with character development and growing plot lives. Drawing characters from other's stories as well as my own are probably my favorite things to draw."
