Rev. A. V. Boand wil hold services at Gunnison next Thursday evening, September 21st at 8:00 o'clock. Attorney C. V. Boyd and Fred A. Boyd, of Salt Lake, were here on a brief business visit last Saturday. Mrs. T. W. 7ees of Wales spent Sunday with her daughter, Mrs. Klray Christiansen of this city. J. P. Carlson of Mayficld, is the house guest of his daughter, Mrs. N. L. Lund, at Centerfield this week. Mrs. Ira Overfelt entertained at needlecraft and luncheon for the Bonne Foi club members Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Hugh Kearns entertained at luncheon in honor of Mrs. Mary Stewart last Saturday. Seven guests were present. Mrs. O. R. Stewart of Provo, the gue;it of her sister, Mrs. Charles Nielson, for several days, returned to her home at Provo Sunday. Miss Lulu and Hal Stewart, who attended the festivities at Richfield last week, accompanied heir mother on the return re-turn trip. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Collins gave a dancing party Saturday evening at the Kozi Place. Twenty-six guests were present. The Orpheus club members met with Mrs. Leonard Jepson Thursday. Thurs-day. Luncheon and needlework were the diversions. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Swain entertained enter-tained at a family dinner Sunday in honor of Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Swain. Covers were laid for twenty. Mrs. Y. C. Sorenson entertained Tuesday at a family dinner. Mrs. Sorenson will leave next week for Garland to spend the winter. Mr. and Mrs. N. W. Christiansen and Mrs. Lillian Quist of Ilyrum, Utah, spent last week-end at the home of Parley Christiansen. Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson entertained en-tertained Monday evening complimentary compli-mentary to Mr. and Mrs. N. W. Christiansen of Ilyrum, Utah. A family reunion was held at the Gunnison reservoir last Thursday by Mr. and Mrs. Parley Christiansen, Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson and family, Mrs. Raymond Larson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Jepson, GledliiU Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Rees are re-I re-I juicing over the arrival of a baby j at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Bastian, parents of Mrs. Rees. The boy, tipping the scales at 9 pounds, together with the mother is doing 1 nicely. Miss Tillie Larson, who has been at Salt Lake for some time taking a special treatment, has returned to her home in Gunnison. Her many friends will be glad to know that her health is much improved. : ! Peter Stubbs, who has been visiting visit-ing with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Stubbs, for the past two weeks, returned to Logan yesterday morning. Peter is taking a special course at the Agricultural college at' Logan. Amasa Kenney, who has boon employed em-ployed at Saltair during the past summer, returned to Gunnison last j Saturday. He was accompanied by Mrs. Kenney, who had been visiting with relatives at Salt Lake for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. K. II. Thorpe and Mrs. Cannon Can-non Jensen, spent Saturday and Sunday Sun-day visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Tollestrup at Salt Lake City. A. LaFount, general manager, an 1 E. A. Porter, chief engineer for the Sevier River Land & Water company, com-pany, were here from Salt Lake Tuesday in the interests of their company. Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Swain, and the Swain boys, who have been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Swain, since last Saturdey, left for their home at Wayan, Idaho this morning. Miss Audie Childs, who has been on a vacation trip, returned to her home- in Gunnison the early days of the week. Miss Childs visited in Grand Junction, Fruita and Palisade, j Colorado. Miss Mary McCullum, the new community worker for the Presbyterian Presby-terian society at Salina, was the guest of Miss Curtis and Miss Mc-Monigal Mc-Monigal in Gunnison Tuesday of this week. Oscar Anderson, who has been employed at the Valdasia mine at Marysvale, has returned to Gunnison. Gunni-son. Mr. Anderson's health has been poor and he expects to remain here indefinately recuperating. Mrs. J. S. Park, mother of Mrs. Julius Duggins, Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Gilbert and Mrs. R. II. Jensen returned re-turned to their homes at Provo last Saturday after spending a few days as the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Duggins.
