Show 2B THE GREEN SHEET Thursday, September 12, 1985 v Russell Gillett Takes Sheryl Pickett As Bride Russell J. Gillett and Sheryl Pickett traded wedding vows on Aug. 4th in Elko, Nevada. The newlyweds will be honored with an open house on Sat., Sept. 14th, at 3500 So. 8400 West, Magna, from5:00until7:00p.m. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Anderson, Woods Cross. She graduated from View-mohigh and Weber State college. The groom is the son of Mrs. Leatha Gillett and Ronnie Gillett, of Magna. He is a. graduate of Cyprus high and filled an LDS mission to Edinburgh, Scotland. Sheryl was given away in marriage by her two sons, Tyler and Terrell. The newlyweds will make their home in West Valley. . 50 Years Of Marriage For Don, Wanda Smith An open house honoring Don and Wanda Smith on their 50th wedding anniversary will be held Sat., Sept. 21. Their children will at the Jordan North 3900 So. 4000 West, from 3:00 until 6:00 quest no gifts. Don was born June 9, 1912 in Granger and has spent his entire life in the same area and worked as a farmer and brick mason. He retired Golden Anniversary Is Noted By The Labrums T.. John and Louise Blanck Labrum will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary with an open house on Thurs., Sept. 19th. The event will be held at the White House, 10575 So. Redwood Rd., from 6:30 until 9:00p.m. John was born and has lived in the Bennion area all his life and attended schools in the Granite District. He was raised on a farm and early in life learned the value of hard work. Louise also graduated from Granite District schools. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 19, 1935. Both John and Louise have been active in the LDS church. She has held numerous positions of leadership as well as supporting John in his positions. John was Bishop of the Bennion ward; on the Stake High Council: president of both the Bennion and Taylorsville Stakes. He is now Patriarch in the Bennion Stake, and a sealer in the Jordan River Temple where Louise is an ordinance worker. Louise has been dedicated to her family and John says, deserves credit for helping them grow into responsible, caring adults. She enjoys cooking and keeping house. John worked for the U.S. Smelting Refining and Mining Co. in Midvale in 1976. Wanda Mary Boulter was born April 29, 1914 in Sandy and would often stay with her sister, Arva, who was married to Dons brother, Brig. It was there they met and then started dating. for twenty years in the accounting department until the smelter was i. sold in 1955. In 1957 John was appointed as the first of Taylorsville Bennion Improvement District and served in this capacity until his retirement in January 1980. He served as trustee on the West Side Water system board until it was absorbed into the Improvement District. John is now a trustee for the Improvement District and is on the board of the Central Valley Water Reclamation Facility. He has served on the Taylorsville Bennion Community Council. The two are parents of five children. They are: Mrs. Maurine Harman; Kenneth; Mrs. Linda Dale; Mrs. Ida May Aagle and Mrs. Leisa Taggart. They have 21 grandchildren and full-tim- nine J , tnortjiS Gene D. Inglesby exchanged rings and marriage vows with Michelle Morrill on August 21st at the Seven Oaks Reception Center. A rehearsal dinner was given at Distinctive Catering and a reception, at the Seven Oaks, following the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lolan M. Morrill, West Valley, and she is a graduate of The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Burns Inglesby, Jr., West Valley. He is a graduate of Highland high, is an Eagle Scout and is in the 19th Special Forces. He is a music major at the University ot Utah, has been a member of the UofU symphony orchestra, the University Singers, the Utah Youth Symphony and the Mormon Youth chorus.
