The White House Conference on Small Business will hold an open forum in Salt Lake on Friday, Oct. 4, at the Salt Lake Hilton. Olympus bounced back from its loss to Brighton by in the annual pounding Skyline Battle of the Rock, opening league play on a happy note and giving Coach Marc Lyons his first win as head man. Taylorsville is coming off an impressive victory over a Cyprus team that many thought would challenge the Titans for supremacy in Region Three. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. Lyons analyzed the Warriors as an extremely tough team to defense with their double wing complete with two talented backs and an excellent quarterback. Against Skyline the Titans showed the explosive offense that Lyons hoped his team would have with a trio of juniors among the game standouts. Brett Larsen continued toper-forwell in the stead of the injured Mark Smith. Larsen hooked up with Andy Black on a first period score that covered 61 yards. The ensuing PAT conversion put the Titans ahead Skyline tied the score, but the Titans went ahead to stay on the next possesion when Chris Hansen capped an drive with a four-yar- d burst up the middle. Larsen found Mike Anglessey on a play that covered 48 yards to get the third period off on a good note and in an action-packefourth period Hansen, a junior, scored on runs of 35 and 57 yards. Skyline made it respectable after 7-- d Oly went ahead 28-- 7 with a pair of long passes late touchdowns sandwiched around Hansens gallop. Oly totaled 355 yards in offense with 213 coming through the air on 11x24 completions. Black had four catches for 113 yards, Anglessey three for 71. Hansen had 113 yards rushing on 11 carries. Skylines late heroics gave the team 308 yardsof offense, more than Lyons likes to give up. Shawn Aste and Paul Taylor had interceptions, the latter running his back for a touchdown that was erased by a clip- on KHS Boosters Offering Season Pass The Booster Klub at Kearns high, supported by the school administration, is offering a year-lon- g family pass for sports activities. A $50 fee entitles an entire family to admission to all sports activities, according to Booster Klub president Sterling Parker, who noted that it would represent a significant savings over a years time - hundreds of dollars. Passes can be purchased outside the ticket gate before tomorrows (Friday) home football opener with Granite.
