PTA officers at Hillsdale elementary will host a carnival from 8:30 to 2 p m. Saturday at the school, 3275 W. 3100 South. Principal - Wilson Is Welcomed At Western Hills KEARNS. Elmond Wilson, new principal of the P.M. session at Western Hills elementary, credits the PTA with much of his schools success during the opening days of the new term. We have a truly fantastic PTA -super great. They have spent literally hundreds of hours preparing for the opening of school, particularly in the area of safety. The safety commission arranged busing, bus stops, made tags for the students showing names and bus numbers and help teachers in supervising loading of the buses, he observed. Food available will include corn dogs, sloppy joes, tacos, nachos, cotton candy and snowcones. Crafts activities for children and the many games will make it a real family event, a spokesman said. Students are competing for prizes, including a bike, TV and personal stereo with headphones donated by local merchants.
