Show Arrest made after pursuit LAJOINT Three men were injured, and one was hospitalized, when the vehicle they were riding in went out of control and rolled into a ravine near here while being chased by a sheriff's deputy early Wednesday morning. The driver, Amos Perank, 19, Ft. Duchesne, was charged by the Utah Highway Patrol with evading arrest and driving under the influence, said UHP Trooper Dave Jacobsen. Perank and Roger Kochomp, 18, Whiterocks, were treated and released from Duchesne County Hospital in Roosevelt. Melvin Redcap, 26, Whiterocks, was admitted to the Ashley Valley Medical Center in Vernal for more extensive treatment on . lacerations on an arm, said Trooper Jacobsen. Perank tried to escape after being handcuffed. A group of Uintah County Sheriff's deputies and officers with the Ute-Ouray Indian Reservation police found Perank nearby at about 3 a.m., said Sheriff's Cpl. Larry Crowl. |
