Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ashton spent a few days this week in Salt Lake City on business. Mrs. Ray E. Dillman is working work-ing on 4-H club work for the Indian In-dian department at Ft. Duchesne. Roosevelt Stake Quarterly conference con-ference will be held in Roosevelt Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. M. F. Wilkins has returned re-turned home after spending some time visiting in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Harmston of Ogdcn spent several days last week in Roosevelt look after their interests here. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoi Jones of Mt. Emmons were visiting in Roosevelt Monday evening. Mr. Jones is principal of the Alta-mont Alta-mont High school. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gregory had a most agreeable surprise last week end by way of a visit by friends whom they had not seen for over twelve years. The visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Har-ry Barrington of Pasedena, Cal., Mr. Barrington is a contractor and builder and is looking over the building prospects in this vicinity. Friday Bridge Club Mrs. Robert Huish entertained the Friday bridge club at the home of Mrs. Dave Huish Friday Fri-day evening. A lovely luncheon was served, after which tables .were arranged for bridge. Those present were Mrs. Bee Jordan, Mrs. Letta Robbins, Mrs. Mary Weiss, Mrs. Hazel Ashton, Mrs. Evelyn Schmiett, Mrs. Elva Mc-Lea, Mc-Lea, Mrs. Viola Harmston, Mrs. Billie Bair, Mrs. Blanche Murphy, Mur-phy, Mrs. Nell Wilkins, Mrs. Beryl Mullins, Mrs. Marva Cor- bridge and the hostess. Thought and Thimble Club Erma Jensen entertained re- cently for the members of the "Thought and Thimble club". Those present were Mary Burgess, Bur-gess, Wrennetta Granger, Cora Johnson, Pearl Redmond, Tina Wilkins and Faye White. With Mrs. Bruce Calder, Marion Hux-ford Hux-ford and LaVoyle Weiss as special spec-ial guests. Pearl Redmond read a delightful story entitled "Grandma Johnson". Delicious refreshments were served. Bridgeiie Club The members of the club enjoyed en-joyed a delicious chicken supper at the home of the hostess, Verda Nelson, who was assisted by Bernice Wingo and Norma Bellon, Friday evening. Tables were arranged for bridge with the following present: Barbara Killian, Dora Curry, Ellen Rawl-ings, Rawl-ings, Bliss Eldredge, Pearl Labrum, LaVera Bellon, Lurrine Alexander, Leah Allred and. the hostess. Altrus Club Altrus club met at the home of Mrs. Blanche Murphy Thursday Thurs-day evening. Mrs. Mildred Dill-man Dill-man gave a very interesting report re-port on the book "Sam Brannon" after a delicious luncheon business busi-ness of the meeting was taken up. Those present were Mrs. Mary Orser, Mrs. Norma Broad-bent, Broad-bent, Mrs. Viola Harmston, Mrs. Alton Birch, Mrs. Carma Winter-ton, Winter-ton, Mrs. Nedra Nickel, Mrs. Mattie Edwards, Ruth Jorgensen. m m m Daughters of Pioneers The Roosevelt Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers will meet at the Relief Society room of the Roosevelt Ward and " Stake building Friday afternoon. Mrs. Mildred Dillman, president reports a very good program in progress and invites all members to be present. Houiz-Fellows Mr. and Mrs. K. R. Houtz announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter Josie, to Ens. Freeman K. Fellows, son of Mr. and Mrs. Armanda Fellows of Salt Lake City. The wedding took place, Thursday, April, 4 P.M. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. Ray Jones, 126 Edith Ave. Salt Lake City. The young couple were wed by Bishop Frank Moscly, and were attended by Mrs. Alvin Denver, sister of the bride, and Wallace P. Booker. For her nuptials Mrs. Fellows wore a suit of pale blue with white accessories, and a corsage of bright red rose buds. Mrs. Denver Den-ver was frocked in cream and also al-so wore a rose bud corsage. After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served by Mr. and Mrs. G. Ray JOnes to members of the immediate family. The young couple plan on making their, home in San Francisco while Ens. Fellows is stationed there. |
