He is expecting to be called for duty iri the near future. Lon Dump came home from Provo Monday where he received receiv-ed medical treatment. Gilbert Beebe and Fay Prows made a business trip to Myton Monday; Hans Jacobson and son, Jerald went to Roosevelt Monday where both received medical care. Mrs. Margaret Pace of Boneta was an Altonah visitor Monday. Pete Wall of Mt. Emmons moved Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson Ander-son and family to their new home in Paonia, Colorado, Sunday. Sun-day. Harold Morris and daughter, Georgia came home from Salt Lake City Monday where Georgia Geor-gia received medical treatment Mrs. Morris is being treated at the hospital in Roosevelt. Mrs. Lola Jones and Mrs. Fern Miller entertained a group of at the, home of Mrs. Lola Jones Saturday in honor of Dickie Miller's 5th birthday anniversary. annivers-ary. Grant Foote and two daughters, daugh-ters, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Foote, Mr. and Mrs. Less Maxwell, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Maxwell, Miss Clysta Maxwell and Mrs. A. F. Maxwell all of Salt Lake but former residents of Altonah attended the funeral services of Ed Conklin Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hislop and sons of Helper were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jones a few days last week. Pvt. and Mrs. Orvin Michey of Huntington were visiting relatives rela-tives in town Tuesday and Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence DeHaven of Duchesne accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. Less Shiner went to Salt Lake City Sunday to meet Mr. and Mrs. Charles Conklin of Seattle, Washington, to attend Mr. Conklin's brother's funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Morrel Prows and son, Ronald and daughter, Bertie Fae, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Prows of Salt Lake were visiting relatives in town several days last week, they also attended the funeral services Tuesday. Rulon J. Larsen of Duchesne was in town on business Thursday. Thurs-day. Delbert Shiner took his wife to Roosevelt for medical treatment treat-ment Wednesday. Guy Jones of Tabiona was transacting business in town a few days last week. While here he was a guest of Mrs. Clarence Jones. Mrs. Grace Kavon and son of Milwaukee, Wisconsin is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James B. Murray. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Timothy and daughters returned home Tuesday to start farming . after spending the winter working in Laylon. Claude Richens, a former resident of Altonah was visiting in town Thursday. Leon Dump went to Salt Lake City Thursday where he entered the Veteran's hospital for a medical checking up. Mrs. Ida Conklin and children left for Ferron, Sunday to visit for a week. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Leslie accompanied them after being called to Altonah by the death of their son-in-law, Ed Conklin. Roosevelt shoppers Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ro-chel, Ro-chel, Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll and family, Mrs. Fay Prows and daughter, Mrs. Oscar Beebe and daughters, Mrs. Max-ine Max-ine Clark and baby, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe and daughter, daugh-ter, Barbara. |
