Show CRIMINAL COURT CALENDAR CRUSH The first case tried was the State vs. Marie Hamilton. Saturday the Jury returned a verdict of "not guilty." guil-ty." There were two cases against Joe Hamilton, but upon motion of counsel for the State for a continuance continu-ance in order to give time to secure the presence of a wilnoss. the same was denied. The State 'then moved for a dismissal, and the Court at the afternoon session dismissed the two cases. The State vs. Harris was then called. call-ed. Harris was charged with "assault "as-sault with a deadly weapon" upon the person of Comisky of MUford. The district attorony being be-ing disqualified. Attorneys Atkins and Parsons acted for the State. The jury was picked Saturday afternoon. Harris agreed to plead guilty to "simple assault." which was permitted per-mitted and the Court imposed a fine of $100. x The case of the State vs. Oka. the Japanese charged with an offense against a young gtjl who was in hie employ in a restaurant, has excited great interest.
