We must be willing to give more of our time o public betterment. Bo lead.-! ers instead of leaners. At this convention a number of resolutions were passed relative to legislative matters. Farmers in the! future are going to legislate for; themselves instead of allowing others to pass laws over their heads. Co- operation and self help is their fu-; ture slogan. These resolutions had reference to j prohibition with strict regulation; a good public utilities law; the elimin-1 ation of all hut registered bulls from I the pure bred law passed two years ago, and tho passage of a law that will tax all mining properties on the j same basis as other property of the state. As an expression of the greatest agricultural need in this state generally, gen-erally, a state-wide project was chosen entitled "More and Better Livestock." The resolution adopted on this project will be published in next week's issue of this paper. H. A. Christiansen, County Agricultural Agent. a. |
