Mr. Brownfield, a dry farmer living liv-ing about ten mileB from Milford, received re-ceived a telegram Wednesday giving the news of the death of his brother at Grand Junction. Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Street and little daughter have removed to their new bungalow home on Walrus street in the attractive Lewis addition addi-tion to Milford on Hieh School hill. R. N. An Infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Roberts died at Frisco last Sunday. The funeral was held In Mineravllle, the home of the family. The cause of the death of the little lit-tle one was pneumonia. Arthur Turner, bookkeeper for the Bonneville Lumber Co., and Frank Farmer, of the Salt Lake shops, joined join-ed the Saturday night exodua to Salt Lake City for a brief visit with friends and to see the sights. Paul McQuarrie, of Burbank, Utah made a little visit to Milford for repairs. re-pairs. Mrs. Thomas Ream and her four children, returned to their home In Milford Friday night, after spending the winter in Los Angeles. It is needless to say, Mr. Ream was glad to see them return after being a bachelor for three months. A. R. and N. P. Lewis went to Salt Lake City Saturday night to visit relatives. Their father, ex-state Senator Lewis, passed through Milford Mil-ford a few day3 since for Salt Lake City and there was a sort of family fam-ily reunion of the Lewises there. 1 Mrs. R. S. Ramsey, little daughter Dorothy and son Robert left for Pennsylvania over the Salt Lake Route Thursday where they will make their home with relatives. Mr. Ramsey and James Ramsey expect to remain in Milford for the present. James Riley and David Woolsey, both of Beaver, passed through Milford Mil-ford on the way home from assessing assess-ing the transient sheep herds in this county. They reported 56,000 outside out-side sheep that were made contributors contribu-tors to the taxables of this county. Green Bennett, a lad of about fifteen fif-teen years of age, fell on the Ice while skating last Friday night and sprained his wrist. The accident was a painful one and young Bennett seems now to have no recollection of having been on the Ice at that time. Ted Bird, of the firm of Burns & Bird, ls quarantined for three weeks on account of measles. Mr. Bird is not a victim of the disease, excepting indirectly. He found it necessary to help take care of the children, who are 111, and the health department ls keeping him on the ob. A. M. Laird of Millard county has been at Milford taking medical treatment and has Improved sufficiently suf-ficiently to return home. He reports a very hard winter for sheep and cattle in his vicinity. At one place 150 head of cattle froze on account of the hard crust on the snow. A. B. Ingols, who has been having hav-ing a fight with old age and Its Infirmities has pulled out again and ia able to be around. He takes the weather and keeps a record every day and haa done so for years. Perhaps Per-haps we will get some decent weather now since he can attend to it better. Mrs. R. R. Mason, of Omaha, and baby are visiting the family of Dr. O. E. Adkins. Mrs. Mason and Mrs. Ad-kins Ad-kins are sisters. Mrs. Mason was delayed de-layed four days In the Wyoming i snow blockade. She will spend a j few weeks with her sister and then I continue her Journey to southern California. j Division Superintendent Van Hou-en Hou-en and Division Engineer Frank Strong of the Salt Lake Route were here on an inspection trip this week. ;They visited the new round house 'and it is hoped they observed the i great need of more room and better facilities for both freight and passengers pas-sengers in Milford. They left for Caliente Wednesday noon. The services of First Church of Christ Scientists of Milford are held as follows: Sunday morning service at 11 o'clock; Wednesday evening experience meetings at 8 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Art Bailey have decided de-cided to remove from Milford. They intend leaving about March 1. Mr. and Mrs. Bailey are popular and prominent residents of this city where Mr. Bailey ia the efficient manager of the Milford yards of the Bonneville Lumber Company. He expects to go Into business for himself him-self at some favorable point not yet definitely decided upon. A large circle cir-cle of local friends will regret their intending departure. Joe Fleming, of Milford, was a recent visitor at the big exhibit of Southern California products maintained main-tained free to the public in the Los Angeles chamber of commerce. He also attends the lectures, moving pictures and concert that are a part of the dally program. The exhibit is the largest of any in the county maintained by a commercial organization. orga-nization. Before returning home Mr. Fleming expects to visit several of the many places of interest in Southern South-ern California. County Attorney Parsons came up from Beaver Monday and went to Frisco to investigate the Smith assault as-sault case which la to come up In the present session of the district court. As District Attorney Murdock was disqualified in several cases Judge Greenwood appointed Mrr. Parsons to prosecute them. ThiB was true of ! the Hamilton cases.
