Mrs. Blanche j Lee Tagert, well known chiropodist surgeon of the west, who had offices in the Walker Bank building, died at ; her residence, 46 Kensington apart-; apart-; inents, yesterday, of heart trouble. Mrs. Tagert was stricken ill about 10 days ago, but managed to attend to her business until last Saturday. On Sunday sho was forced to take to her bed when it was observed that her (condition had taken a change for tho i worse. Born on October 1G, 1SSG, Mrs. Tagert Tag-ert died on her thirtieth birthday. Sho was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Lee of Red Cliff, Colo. About 15 years ago she .married Frederick Fred-erick Tagert at Rod Cliff and by him had a daughter, Nevada, now S years of age. Mrs. Tagert secured a divorce a few years ago. For several years Mrs. Tagert lived in Nevada and then went to the Pacific Pa-cific coast, coming to Salt Lake six years ago. In this city she built up a large practice as a chiropodist surgeon, sur-geon, a .profession which her father still follows. Within the last year Mrs. Tagert's name was frequently mentioned in connection with litigation between herself and Mrs. Kathryn Van Alstyne. The latter sued Mrs. Tagert for $25,-000, $25,-000, claiming alienation of her husband's hus-band's affections. Mrs. Tagert entered en-tered a demurrer to the suit and the date of the trial remained to be set. Previously Mrs. Van Alstyne entered en-tered suit to obtain the custody of a son of her husband by a former marriage. mar-riage. This suit was directed against Mrs. Tagert and Grey C. Van Alstyne, the husband of plaintiff. It was dismissed. dis-missed. Mrs. Tagert is survived by a daughter, daugh-ter, her mother, Mrs. Nettie Cornwall; her father, Charles B. Lee; a sister, Mrs. Frances Lee Hartshorn, and a brother, Walter Lee. The daughter lived with Mrs. Tagert. The other , members of her family live in Colo- ' rado with the exception of her father, ( who lives in Spokane. nn |
