Show THE EXPOSITION' IN 1919. At the banquet given Monday night, Joseph Scowcroft called attention at-tention to the fact that in 1919 Ogden, co-operating with the railroads, is to give an exposition in this city, and he urged immediate action in organizing organiz-ing and getting under way. He said that by every man placing his shoulder shoul-der to the wheel, great things could be done, and the country be given a genuine surprise. Mr. Scowcroft displayed a fine spirit of boost, and, in accepting hiB full share of- responsibility, set an ex- ample which measurcably assures success. No interests in the community, big or small, must escape from taking part in the task of making good in this ambitious program which, in rough outline, promises to place Ogden Og-den among the most talked-of cities In the United States between now and the opening of the railroad exposition exposi-tion in 1919. Responding to Mr. Scowcroft's appeal, ap-peal, there should be preliminary meetings, elaborating of plans and assigning of duties to be performed. Now is the time to begin to marshal mar-shal the forces of the exposition. |
