Show THREE BOYS KILLED BY FORTTRAIN Youths Walk Directly, in Front of Engine i KANSAS ITY, Mo., Aug. 19. Three boys were killed by a Kansas Kan-sas Southern passenger train here yesterday when they stepped directly di-rectly in the train's path. The three Richard Misner, 15 ; Sam Soblin, 16, and John Gilbert, 16, had been out swimming and were walking down the Missouri Pacific tracks which parallel those of the Kansas City Southern. When the train rounded a curve and approached the boys from the rear, Engineer John Ryder sounded sound-ed the whistle but the boys, apparently appar-ently confused, jumped from the Missouri Pacific tracks on to the other tracks without looking. All three bodies were badly mangled and identification was made by the means of Caddy tags carried by the boys. |
