The injured xrson was Thelitis Boyer, 20, of Springville, who was pinned under a Ford car in which she was riding with her brother, Glenn. She suffered severe bruises about the limbs and body and possible. pos-sible. Internal injuries. ' The. accident occured nt 10 o'clock Wednesday, night when T. E. Lun-dell Lun-dell of Benjamin was driving south out of Spanish Fork and did not see the. hay wagon, loaded with beans, until he got so close to it that he was forced to make a quick turn. In doing so he ran Into tb.: Boyer ciir coming from the oppoiiu direction. Hiding with LundWl were Madeline Made-line Pllson, Anona Jensen, Ai.nn Drake, Elvin Hickman and Xewlmul Hansen, all of Benjamin. Aslda from receiving a terrible shock nono of the occupants in the Lundell car was injured, Boyer's car was turned completely over. Investigating officers placed Bowen under arrest and told him to report to the sheriffs office this morning. He will be charged with violating the county , ordinance which provides that no vehicle,, horse drawn or otherwise, shall be allowed on the main travelled por-tlo por-tlo nof the highway without a light of sufficient magnitude for approaching ap-proaching travelers to see it from either direction. Bowen is said to have had no such light. When the cars came together the larger Studehaker driven by Lundill threw the smaller one completely off of the highway and tipped It npslde down. . .' . It was Intimated by the drivers of the two cars, both of which were badly damaged, that Bowen also will be held responsible for the amount of the property loss sustained sus-tained in tka wreck. |
